Madison ABC is supported by the community and the many volunteers on the Board of Directors and Advisory Board. The personal involvement and financial support of the Madison community are vital to the program’s success. Without you, we cannot succeed.
You Can Make A Difference

Our host family program is an important link between the Scholars and the community. Each Scholar is paired with a local family with whom he spends at least one weekend a month. Typically host families have a son or daughter who also attends DHHS. The strong relationships formed during their time here endure long after the students graduate.

Although affiliated with the national program, Madison A Better Chance is self-supporting and managed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We're dependent upon volunteers from the community for the success of this program. Whether it’s becoming a Board member or volunteering at an event, your efforts help ensure that we will continue to thrive.

Your donation allows us to provide our young Scholars with an environment conducive to learning while also making them feel part of our community. The funding of our budget comes through private donations from individuals, local businesses, religious institutions, and community organizations. Your support is greatly appreciated!
About our Board
The Madison ABC Board of Directors is made up of volunteers who bring a wide range of perspectives and skills, and who generously give their time to advance our mission. Board terms begin in June and run for one year. While we formally invite nominations each spring, we welcome interest and conversations with potential new board members throughout the year.
